Holistic Allergy Relief Using Eucalyptus

Eucalyptus History

Eucalyptus is a plant genus of the Myrtaceae plant family native to Australia. Dated back to the 17th century, eucalyptus was used in traditional medicine, as a germicide, bug repellent, flavoring, fragrance, and industrial uses. Aboriginal Australians used the eucalyptus leaves (medicinally for relief of aches, pains and colds) in infusions to make essential oils. This infusion is produced at a slow rate as the leaves are steamed and distilled to extract the eucalyptus oil.
