Homemade Gluten-Free Granola
Homemade Gluten-free granola – is a healthy snack or great for those who are always on the go! Granola is high in fiber, which can help reduce constipation, clean your internal tract, and because it’s a nutrient-dense food you get full faster and feel full longer. Granola is calorie-dense as well as rich in protein and micronutrients. It may contain essential nutrients such as iron, magnesium, zinc, copper, selenium, B vitamins, and vitamin E. These micronutrients can support your brain function, boost your energy, and you get to create this recipe homemade gluten-free granola from scratch, using whole foods, that have not been processed or refined.
Ingredients:
(Pumpkin Seed Gluten-Free Granola)
1/4 cup coconut oil (melted)
1/4 cup vegan sweetener (I used maple syrup, optional)
2-3 cups gluten-free oats (replace using nuts or seeds, for “grain-free”)
3 tablespoons chia seeds
1/4 cup shredded raw coconut flakes
1 cup Pepita seeds
1/3 cup freeze-dried banana (optional)
1/3 cup dark chocolate chips
1/3 cup raw walnuts (chopped)
1 teaspoon gluten-free vanilla extract (alcohol-free)
Instructions:
1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Farenheight.
2. Using a large mixing bowl, mix together gluten-free granola ingredients, making sure all of the ingredients are covered in vegan sweetener.
3. Lightly grease or line a baking sheet. Spoon the gluten-free granola mixture into the bottom of the baking sheet, and make sure ingredients are evenly spread out.
4. Bake for up to 20 minutes, until golden brown, and remove from oven when done.
