START EACH DAY WITH AN ACHIEVABLE GOAL
Why Choose Alkaline Diet?
When a person eats the body breaks down the food as fuel. The food we metabolize or burn turns into an ash residue. This ash residue can be neutral, acidic, or alkaline, based on certain minerals found in the food. According to modern biochemistry, it is not the organic matter of foods that leave acid or alkaline residues in the body. The inorganic matter (sulphur, phosphorus, potassium, sodium, magnesium and calcium) determines the acidity or alkalinity of the body fluids. Food comparatively rich in acid forming elements are acid forming foods; those comparatively rich in alkaline forming elements are alkaline forming foods. The pH in your blood is usually near 7.4, which can ultimately depend on your diet. The food you consume should consist of at least 70 to 80 percent basic foods and at least half that should be in their raw form. Following that at least 20 to 30 percent remaining in acidifying foods.
