Green Living Smoothie (Vegan)

Getting enough raw greens into your diet are so important for your entire body. Eating lots of greens such as dark leafy greens like spinach, kale, chard and collard greens are very beneficial for cleansing your blood. By eating more greens it helps boost your digestion as well as in boosting your vitality. Eating more greens helps by increasing oxygen levels in the blood, which also aids in producing more red blood cells to help fight off toxins. This happens to be the case because dark leafy greens contain a macro nutrient called chlorophyll and it helps speed up cell turn over and the detoxification  process of waste in your blood. The nice thing about consuming more organic raw greens is it also gives you everything you need to get naturally glowing skin. Eating more leafy vegetables is a must, you can add them to every meal but you should try this vegan green living smoothie. It will be a healthy addition to your life if your someone who is always in a hurry and need a quick healthy snack on the go.

Healthy Tip: Buy local produce or use organic produce to ensure the freshness and nutrients are the utmost quality.

Optional Ingredients:

Raw Fruits: Avocado, green grapes, kiwi, pears
Raw Greens: Herbs, sprouts, blue-green algae, wheat grass, matcha whole leaf green tea
Fresh Herbs: Basil, cilantro, dill, mint, rosemary
Raw Vegan Sweeteners:  Agave nectar, maple syrup

Ingredients: 

1 ripe banana
1 apple (cut into pieces and pitted)
2 celery stalks (cut into smaller pieces)
2 cups kale (washed and pulled off the stem)
1/4 cup fresh parsley
1/4 cup spinach
2 tablespoons flax seeds
2 scoops pea protein (vegan, gluten free, non gmo)
3-4 cups coconut milk (non dairy milk of your choice)

Instructions:

  1. First wash the raw living produce under cool water.
  2. Once cleaned, peel the banana, core and pit the apple, cut celery into pieces, cut the stems off the parsley, de-stem the kale leaves.
  3. Combined the raw greens with flax seeds, pea protein, and non dairy milk.
  4. Next, toss raw living produce into a high-speed blender at the lowest setting until it looks smooth.
  5. Enjoy right away! Can store in fridge for about two days.
