Fruit Purée Shooters (Vegan Dessert)

Fruit Puree Shooters (Vegan Dessert) – A festive and fruity shareable dessert shooter is the perfect treat for the holiday season! I prepared (10 dessert shot glasses) all at once, so I could save time. With a secret ingredient of love in every bite, I enjoy the creamy pudding consistency, which contains live and active cultures of dairy-free vegan yogurt, while it has important health benefits for the body. A live probiotic called L. Bulgaricus is commonly used both in dairy and non-dairy yogurt and has similar digestive and related health benefits no matter which medium it is consumed in. According to Godairyfree.org, “38 studies showed that probiotics might help manage a variety of mental health conditions,” they continued to explain, “this may include ADHD and depression.” Whatever way you choose to support your gut health, eating one yogurt a day is a great way to feel better and have a more balanced gut.

Healthy Tip: For probiotic preservation, it is best to consume yogurt with active cultures in the finished product. Most commercial yogurts are pasteurized and kill the active cultures, so another option is to make your yogurt from home. Visit our Amazon store, and pick up your own yogurt, ice cream, or gelato maker! No worries if you buy store-bought yogurt, the brand I used contains live and active cultures and is gluten and dairy-free, Non-GMO Project Verified, and Certified Vegan!

Ingredients:

(Fruit Purée)

1 1/2 cups frozen organic strawberries
2 lemons (juices)
Vegan sweetener (optional)

(Creamy pudding)

2 containers of So Delicious Dairy Free Strawberry Banana Coconut Milk Yogurt
2 ripe bananas
1 tsp alcohol-free Vanilla Extract

(Garnish)

1/4 cup fresh strawberries (thinly sliced)
A handful of fresh mint leaves
1 tablespoon Chia Seeds (great plant-based protein)

Instructions:
1. First, wash, pat dry, and set aside produce.
2. Measure frozen strawberries and toss them into the blender. No need for adding sweetener, the strawberries are naturally sweet.
3. Next, slice the lemons and squeeze the juice into the blender. If you drop a seed or two no worries because they are non-toxic if humans consume them. The lemon seeds contain a higher antioxidant value of vitamin C than the entire lemon.
4. Now blend until smooth consistency. Then, transfer the pudding pouring evenly into your dessert shot glasses. (Shop our store for reusable, 6 pack acrylic shot glasses or a 12 pack of shot glasses.
5. Next, rise the blender out well, and set it up to use for pudding
6. Open the yogurts, and scoop the content out with a tablespoon into the blender
7. Then, peel the bananas and toss them into the blender with the dairy-free yogurt. Blend until smooth
8. Transfer the creamy pudding from the blender, and pour evenly over the strawberry purée layer.
9. Now you are ready to add garnish (fresh strawberries, mint, and chia seeds)
10. Place in fridge and serve chilled. Can store from 7-10 days in the fridge.
