Apple, Date, Walnut, and Spiced Cardamom Breakfast Bowl Galore

Spiced Cardamom Breakfast Bowl Galore

This dish is full of vibrant fruit flavors and bursts of chewy, sweet, spices’. The ingredients are rich in fiber, vitamin C, potassium, magnesium, zinc, and calcium. Not only are oats full of antioxidants and nutritious ingredients they are known to promote healthy blood pressure and circulation. I love hot cereal, especially with the twist of being able to add as many toppings or sweeteners as you prefer. However, I like to keep the ingredients used very simple, as the flavors can overpower the natural sweet aromas.

2 cups purified water, 1 cup gluten-free oats (2:1 ratio)
4 dried dates (pitted & chopped)
Hand full walnuts (chopped)
1/2 apple (cut in half, cored, & cubed)
1/8 teaspoon Cardamom
Splash of coconut milk (or your favorite nut milk)
  1. First, bring 2 cups of purified water to a boil.
  2. Next, stir in 1 cup oats. Reduce heat and simmer, uncovered.
  3. Cook oats
  4. While cooking, stir oats occasionally.
  5. Remove the pan from the heat.
  6. Pour oats into serving bowl and add dates, walnuts, apple, and cardamom as topping. Add a splash of coconut milk or your favorite nut milk.
